Commit showcased at 1871's Hispanic Technology Incubator

CEO Co-Founder of Commit

Commit co-founders Mia Velasquez, Josh Kim, and Dan Kolb became members of 1871 and Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's (IHCC) Cohort 3 of start-ups with Latinx co-founders. They participated in 13 weeks of educational programming, resources, access to funding and technological support which culminated in pitches to investors, friends, and family.

"Commit helps community builders and social leaders organize and fund successful events without taking on financial risks and burdens themselves. Through our platform, event organizers can crowdfunding event payments and gauge interests through a commitment goal, leading to better event coordination, management, and connections." – Mia Velasquez, CEO and Co-Founder, Commit

So far, the program has graduated 39 Latinx entrepreneurs, created 80 jobs, raised $2 million in capital, and fostered nearly 800 client introductions.
